DW | Mediterranean Spanish Wine Dinner: Catalonia, Valencia & The Islands

Exploring the Eastern Coast of Spain

From Valencia and the Islands to the French Border

If there’s one nation whose wines get requested more than any other for a dinner, it’s probably Spain. The diversity and range of wines produced today is nothing short of astounding, with values abounding in producers small and large alike. It’s really easier to think of it as “The United Regions of Spain” instead of a single country, such are the differences between regions where grapes, styles and traditions are concerned. That’s why for this dinner (our first-ever with this focus) we’re going to limit ourselves to the regions along Eastern Spain’s  Mediterranean coast, from the Pyranees mountains down to Alicante and Murcia. We’ll taste regional reds and whites from a broad range of regions and discuss why there’s never been a better time to enjoy more wines from Spain with confidence.
