DW | Sonoma Classic: Gundlach Bundschu
Sonoma Classics Wine Dinner
Gundlach Bundschu Winery is California’s oldest continuously family-owned winery and the third oldest winery in the state. It’s still owned and operated by the founder’s heirs and today led by the sixth generation, Jeff Bundschu. The winery’s 320-acre estate vineyard, named Rhinefarm by Bavarian-born Jacob Gundlach in 1858, is located at the crossroads of the Sonoma Valley, Carneros and Napa Valley appellations. Today, the family has refocused on making small lots of ultra-premium wines from this distinctive and historic property.
