GREENVILLE SC | August Briggs
August Briggs Wine Dinner
August Briggs Winery is an owner-managed craft producer of small lot and sustainably produced wines showcasing some of Napa and Sonoma’s premier vineyards focused on a restrained winemaking philosophy that highlights wines of provenance, not pretense. When you visit, it’s likely you will meet with one of their welcoming owners, Matt and Colette, who live by their hands-on management style, ‘You get back what you put in’.
Their eclectic portfolio includes single vineyard and appellation bottlings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Malbec, Pinot Meunier, Zinfandel, Petit Verdot, Chardonnay, Charbono and Pinot Blanc.
In 2011, August Briggs’ long-time employees Matt Gasco and Colette Milliman purchased the winery. “Matt and I jumped at the opportunity to continue doing what we loved,” Colette says. “Matt’s forte is sales and extensive wine knowledge and mine is office management and accounting. Our skills are complimentary so it works great.”
We’re thrilled to welcome Matt Gasco to Foxcroft to tell both his story and the story of August Briggs through an amazing lineup of wines!
