GREENVILLE SC | Responsible Farming: Long Meadow Ranch

Responsible Farming and the Wine Ecosystem
Long Meadow Ranch Wine Dinner
with Jennifer Horsley
In the late 1800’s, the majestic Long Meadow Ranch property thrived with vineyards, apple orchards, olive groves, hay and a goat milk dairy until farming fell dormant during Prohibition. The Hall family, in 1989, carefully breathed life back into the land, nurturing it back to its glory. Today Long Meadow Ranch farms, in 3 counties, over 2,000 acres of grapes, olives, fruits, vegetables and pasture. They focus on sustainable, organic, and biodynamic winemaking practices.
Jennifer Horsley, Southeast Regional Sales Manager, will walk us through the Long Meadow Ranch farm and why they believe that responsible farming is important from the first step to your table. The vineyards are the backbone of the farm and are organically farmed in Napa Valley and Anderson Valley. You will taste 6 of their wines with a perfectly paired 4 course menu and gain an understanding and new found appreciation for farmers that take the extra step to farm responsibly.
