Walla Walla Wine Dinner with K Vintners (GVL)
K Vintners is a new icon of Washington wine. Founder Charles Smith released his first wine in 2001, 330 cases of the 1999 K Syrah and from then on the dynamic power and immediate pleasure of Walla Walla wines has never had a better advocate. Charles Smith is the only person to have received Winemaker of the Year distinctions by both Wine Enthusiast (2014) and Food & Wine (2009). In 2008, K Vintners was recognized by Wine & Spirits magazine as one of the “Best New Wineries of the Last Ten Years,” and as “Winery of the Year” in their annual buying guide.
Our very special guest from K Vintners will be Suzy McDonald. As regional manager for the Southeast Suzy has great knowledge and more than a few great stories about K Vintners and the state of Washington wine.
We’ll be pouring the following wines with a four course pairing menu created by Chef Chris Mydosh:
seared scallop, winter squash puree, sweet potato crisps
mushroom and leek tart, goat cheese fondue, red streaked mustard greens

braised boar cheek, potato & turnip gratin, kale-apple slaw
