Domaine François & Fils is a small producer with vineyard holdings in Côte Rôtie and Condrieu in the Northern Rhône valley. This dynamic fourth-generation farming family not only makes fabulous wines, but also raise cattle and craft farmhouse cheeses sold at local farmers’ markets across the Rhône Valley. Côte Rotie is known as “the bridge between Burgundy and the Rhône” where the power and opulence of the South and the delicacy and nuance of the North combine. Condrieu is a tiny appellation composed of seven villages, about 60 growers and a little over 300 acres. It stretches of the right side of the Rhône River where it bends just south of Côte Rôtie. Viognier, only grape variety allowed in Condrieu, thriving in a sandy mixture of decomposed granite, mica schist and clay, which naturally lowers the yield and explore the utmost potential of the grape.
