Lambrusco is mainly known for its sparkling red style predominantly from Emilia-Romagna in Italy, but is also made in white and Rosé styles. Most commonly, Lambrusco wines are made using the Charmat method, the same process used to produce Prosecco. Although bubbly, Lambrusco tends to fall on the fizzy and frothy side of the sparkling wine spectrum and is produced in styles ranging from bone-dry to very sweet. Regardless of the sweetness level, Lambrusco tends to show flavors of cherries, strawberries, herbs, blackberry jam, violets and potting soil.
Venturini Baldini is a 130ha estate from the 17th century, situated in the hills between Reggio Emilia and Parma. Since 1976 they have been producing organic Lambrusco and sparkling wines as well as premium balsamic vinegars and balsamic condiments. In 2013, Giuseppe and Julia Prestia took over the estate from the Venturini Baldini family, continuing the visionary work of the previous owners to produce organic sparkling wines of only the highest quality, focusing mainly on Lambrusco and sparkling Rosé wines.
