|| | $69 | 2-Pack: 2019 Ferraton Père & Fils “Le Matiniere”

Description

The history of Ferraton begins in 1946, when Jean Orëns Ferraton acquired vineyards in Hermitage, St-Joseph, and Crozes-Hermitage. His son, Michel Ferraton, joined him years later and helped expand the estate’s holdings, but it was not until 1998 that the Godfather of the Northern Rhone, Michel Chapoutier, was welcomed into the estate. As an investor, he brought along his interests in organic and biodynamic farming. In 2008, oenologist Damien Bresset was added to the team, and with his restrained hand, the wines began to truly express the best of the terroirs and their current profiles. Specializing in single site and appellation focused wines, Ferraton has one of the most exciting portfolios in the Northern Rhône.

Included in 2-pack

-Wine Spectator

“Le Matiniere” Rouge (100% Syrah)- “… blended from multiple parcels around the appellation, the 2019 Crozes Hermitage La Matinière boasts attractive notes of violets, cassis and blackberries on the nose. It’s medium to full-bodied and fairly rich on the palate, ending long and velvety.”
