|| | GV $125 | Robert Foley Pinot Noir Magnum

Robert Foley has had a background that most can only dream about. Before starting his own label he was the founding winemaker for 15 years at Markham Vineyards and then another 15 years at Pride Mountain Vineyards. Foley is known for making big and bold reds and recently added a white to his portfolio, Chardonnay. His reputation for producing very expressive wines that finish gracefully continues to develop at his winery facility on Napa County’s Howell Mountain, where more than 1,500 barrels are housed in an extensive cave system for the production of Robert Foley wines.

“This 100% Pinot Noir from the Hudson Vineyard in Napa Carneros pops with ripe red cherry and raspberry aromas and suggestions of camphor and red rose. Bright acidity lifts these aromatics and frames a medium-weight and flavorful body resolving in a long lingering finish with an elegantly subtle kiss of French oak. Aged 12 months in new Burgundian barrels, with two additional years in bottle.”
