Robert Foley has had a background that most can only dream about. Before starting his own label he was the founding winemaker for 15 years at Markham Vineyards and then another 15 years at Pride Mountain Vineyards. Foley is known for making big and bold reds but has added a Chardonnay and this Rosé to his portfolio. His reputation for producing very expressive wines that finish gracefully continues to develop at his winery facility on Napa County’s Howell Mountain, where more than 1,500 barrels are housed in an extensive cave system for the production of Robert Foley wines.
“A light blush salmon hue sparkles in our new issue of the Hawksbill Rosé, named for the sea turtles in the Caribbean. Cabernet, Merlot, and Pinot Noir grapes were lightly pressed and the fresh juice fermented to produce this light, crisp delight. The flavors of ripe fresh strawberry linger long on the palate with ample acidity to leave your mouth watering for another sip.“
