||GV $65| 2-Pack: K Vintners Syrah and Grenache
Description
K Vintners, situated at the base of the Blue Mountains in Walla Walla, Washington, first opened its doors on December 3rd, 2001. Nestled amidst the picturesque scenery, which includes Titus Creek flowing through the lawn and age-old pioneer-planted trees, the winery exudes a charming slice of heartland Americana. The driving force behind this unique producer is Charles Smith, the proprietor and winemaker, whose love for wine is evident. Originally hailing from northern California, his lifelong connection with wine has shaped his journey. It’s worth noting that his appreciation for wine extends beyond the craft of winemaking itself.
This bold producer showcases wines from two distinct viticultural zones: the Wahluke Slope and the Walla Walla Valley. Each of these regions possesses unique characteristics that make them exceptional for cultivating Syrah, Grenache and producing field blends. In April 2002, K Vintners took a significant step by planting two separate blocks of Syrah vineyards next to the winery, within the rocky and dry creek beds that traverse the property.

This is another thrilling Grenache from this team that does everything right. It’s hard to resist today yet should keep for 10-12 years in cold cellars.”
