|| | GV $89.99 | Champagne Jacquesson Cuvée “744” Extra Brut

The Jacquesson Champagne house was founded in 1798 by Memmie Jacquesson in Vallée de la Marne, Champagne. Current owners, brothers, Jean-Hervé and Laurent Chiquet place a huge emphasis on the quality of the vineyards. Recently methods have changed to be organic and almost all Jacquesson wines are ferment in old, large-sized oak barrels, which yield little wood aroma to the wine.

Instead of being limited to labelling their non vintage champagnes NV, Jacquesson have decided to change the name of their cuvée every year. The first cuvée under this new concept was named “740”.  Jacquesson Cuvée 744 is based on the 2016 harvest which is complemented by the addition of 30% reserve wines from the previous three years. Jacquessons numbered Cuvee’s offer the best glimpse into the consistency and style of the House while being striking examples of fine Champagne.

Aromas of green apple, peach, grapefruit and white flowers. The palate is jam packed with fruits such as kiwi, apricot, lime and raspberry with a strong creamy pastry character on the finish from time spent on the lees.
