2016 Domaine du Collier Saumur Blanc

A Rare Opportunity for Antoine Foucault’s Domaine du Collier Saumur Blanc!

The vines of Domaine du Collier, in the Saumur region of France’s Loire Valley, lie within small parcels which are separated from its neighbors by a 12th century wall. This is how Foucault assures us that his parcels are protected from those who use chemicals in their farming. The vines are farmed using organic and biodynamic principles and all vineyard work is done by hand, including harvest. Each of the domaine’s parcels lie on the flowing hill now famously known as the Brézé commune. They only produce 1,200 cases per year.

“Beautiful nose of cut wet grass, citrus and beeswax. Great tension and persistence. Wonderful balance of acidity, dense poached pear and mineral notes. Mouthwatering length. This is aromatic, dry Chenin Blanc at its very best
