|| NC | $129 | 2-Pack: 2016 Domaine Féraud et Fils

Description

 Only available at Foxcroft Wine Co. in North Carolina

In 1984, Pierre Féraud started Domaine Eddie Féraud et Fils, named after his son. After growing up on the vineyard, Eddie now works full time with his father to produce outstanding wines from their vineyards in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. They work with unstemmed grapes, without exogenous yeast, and the wines are aged in old French casks. The approach remains traditional, with a beautiful touch of finesse and elegance that are the trademark of the appellation.

“A bright, vibrant ruby. The nose is an intense expression of garrigue with deeply perfumed lavender and fresh thyme. Ripe raspberry and black cherry throughout. The palate is immediately rich and seems to rise to meet you: a full-bodied explosion of red and black fruit with leather, dried herbs and mild, savory tannins. The generous finish lasts well over a minute. It’s so powerfully concentrated but never heavy. A gorgeous expression of a classic Châteauneuf style that’s ready to drink now and over the next decade or more. Disappears quickly…no surprise.”
-Shawn Paul, Foxcroft Wine Operations Director
