SP | Santa Barbara Wine Dinner with Guest Speaker Morgan Clendenen

A Celebration of Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara County has a history of winemaking and wine grape growing stretching back more than 200 years, to a time before California was a state. From the Mission Era of early California through the Ranchero and Pueblo Era, struggling through Prohibition to the beginning of the modern era of wine making that started in the 60’s, Santa Barbara County continues to combine traditional, hand-made techniques, with the latest innovations in grape-growing and winemaking. The families, stories and legends of this truly unique geological and geographic region are more than one evening or dinner can ever exhaust. But with our esteemed guest speaker, winemaker emerita and NC native Morgan Clendenen as a guide, we’ll learn firsthand from a person who lived and made history in the region, and understand a bit more about what’s most exciting about wine from Santa Barbara.
