Situated in central Italy, Tuscany’s neighbors are Liguria and Emilia-Romagna to the north, Umbria and Marche to the east, and Lazio to the south. The picturesque rolling hills with medieval villages and cypress-lined avenues are appealing to all who visit, especially wine lovers. Tuscany is most well-known for Chianti, but it offers so much more. The wines from Avignonesi enhance the richness and elegance of the Montepulciano heritage, using the techniques and secrets of the generations that came before them. Wines produced from Sangiovese have been produced here for centuries, and the fascination that lies around this appellation is elevated by the “back to basics, no unnatural intervention” approach that biodynamic viticulture entails.

Regional Sales Director of Avignonesi, Gabriele D’Errico, will join us as our guest speaker. His time working for the winery and knowledge of Tuscan wines allow him to give insight on how the region influences the uniqueness of these wines.
