SOUTHPARK CLT | NIGHT 2: Châteauneuf-du-Pape Wine Dinner with John Junguenet

All Châteauneuf-du-Pape Wine Dinner

John E Junguenet

In 1936, Châteauneuf-du-Pape became the very first wine appellation in France and is now the benchmark of the Southern Rhône. This famous and largest sub-appellation in the Southern Rhône Valley produces some white wines, but is most well-known for its full-bodied, seductive, and spicy reds. Grenache is the dominant grape by far, with another 17 grapes playing a role in the blend. For many, the wines produced here have served as a gateway to the wine world. If you get a taste of this region’s wines, chances are, you’re going to be hooked.

We are excited to welcome John Junguenet as our guest speaker, owner of Wines of France import company. His knowledge and decades of experience with Châteauneuf-du-Pape will guide us through a night dedicated to this fascinating wine region. Find out why Châteauneuf-du-Pape is the Southern Rhône’s most exclusive appellation with us as we taste through 8 wines and enjoy a French inspired meal prepared by Chef Chris March and his culinary team.
