Oregon wines offers the perfect balance of fruit and earth. They don’t display bold jammy fruits like the wines from California, nor do they offer extreme earthy characteristics you find in French wines. Oregon wines are uniquely in their own category. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir thrive here in the cooler conditions offered by the maritime influences and the rain shadow effect from the Cascade Mountains. Until recently Oregon was always overlooked for more famous regions such as Napa Valley and Sonoma County, luckily for us, the winemakers have proven that the region can produce high quality wines that deserve their own spot in your cellar.

Our expert guest speaker is Bob Morus, owner and founder of Phelps Creek Vineyards. In 1990 he was taken aback by the beauty of Hood River, Oregon and decided to build his dream there with his wife. Join us as Bob goes in depth about what Oregon has to offer to wine lovers and his own personal wines that you will be tasting. As always, this event will be paired with a 4 course menu by Chef Chris March and his talented team.
